  • identify key populations at risk for TB infection and TB disease based on current epidemiology data to inform and prioritize those populations for testing and treatment
  • recognize the most common pulmonary and systemic signs and symptoms of TB to more effectively diagnose TB disease
  • initiate a comprehensive medical evaluation of a case presenting as potential TB to assess for disease
  • utilize interventions to prevent transmission of TB in health care facilities to protect healthcare workers who work with TB patients
  • recognize abnormal versus normal findings on chest radiographs to improve accuracy when reviewing radiographs for purposes of TB diagnosis and management
  • explain factors which could lead to increased multidrug-resistant TB and how best to prevent and decrease the possibilities
