This webinar was intended for people who work in tuberculosis public health settings and are involved with the B notification process. This 90-minute webinar presentation provided an overview of follow-up and evaluation activities for persons arriving to the U.S. with a Class B notification for a TB condition.

Objectives:
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

describe the TB Class B designations (B1 – B3) and demonstrate understanding of the different types of follow-up required in the U.S. for patients with each classification type in order to improve outcomes for patients

apply the National TB Indicators Project (NTIP) 2025 objectives related to immigrants and refugees with abnormal overseas chest x-rays to individual TB Class B referrals to encourage efficient screening processes and utilization of short course latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) treatment options

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center is approved as a provider of continuing education by the California State Board of Registered Nurses, Provider Number CEP 12308. This training is approved for up to 1.5 continuing education hours. Board requirements prevent us from offering CE credit to people who arrive more than 15 minutes after the start of the training, or leave the training early. Therefore, partial credit will not be awarded.
