In this 2 3/4-hour session, participants will learn more about the possible personal safety risks they face while conducting fieldwork and will explore ways to minimize these risks. The trainer will lead a discussion on how Mycobacterium tuberculosis is transmitted and how DOT workers can reduce their exposure in various situations. Finally, a review of personal respiratory protection will be presented, with a hands-on demonstration of how to fit-test an N-95 mask.
