DESCRIPTION & TARGET AUDIENCE
This five-day, in-person educational conference will provide training and networking opportunities for TB professionals in the Pacific Islands region. The conference is comprised of plenary sessions and breakout sessions with tracks for clinicians, nurses, outreach workers, laboratorians, and program managers. Virtual participation and streaming are not available.
This educational conference is designed for staff involved in TB Management, Prevention, and Control from each of the USAPI jurisdictions and Hawaii, as well as representatives from various agencies including the Australian Respiratory Council, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Diagnostic Laboratory Services, National Tuberculosis Coalition of America, and the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease.

Cancellation & Refunds: The cancellation policy for this conference requires a $100 processing fee. Your registration, minus the $100 fee, will be refunded if cancellation is received by September 1, 2026. However, substitutions may be made at any time.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The PITCA abstract committee welcomes the submission of abstracts for poster presentations on all aspects of tuberculosis control. Some posters will be selected for oral presentation during plenary sessions and at least one co-author must attend the conference to present. Relevant topics include TB epidemiology, clinical, nursing and outreach, laboratory, education, and training, as well as outcomes of program initiatives.

- understand the Western Pacific Regional Framework to End TB 2021-2030 to inform national plans to reduce TB incidence rates in the Pacific Islands affiliated with the US.
- provide an overview of the current global TB diagnostics landscape to understand the types, availability, and intended use of TB diagnostic tools worldwide.
- discuss future needs, challenges, and opportunities in TB diagnostics to optimize rapid diagnosis of TB and reduce disease transmission.
