Focus on LTBI - Seattle

Training Date: Wednesday, July 15, 2026 [in-person training in Seattle, Washington]

Training Time: 8:30 am - 4:10 pm Pacific Time. (Registration is from 7:45 - 8:30 am. Start & end times are subject to change.)

Cost: There is no fee for this training

Target Audience: This training is intended as an introductory course covering the basics of latent TB infection (LTBI) diagnosis and treatment for physicians, nurses, and other licensed medical care providers who manage patients at risk for TB.

Training Format: In-person training includes lecture, discussion, and case presentations

Credit: This training is approved for up to 5.75 continuing education hour (see below). Certificates will be available within 8-10 weeks after the training.

• LTBI background and screening
• Diagnosis of LTBI 
• Treatment of LTBI
• Management of LTBI: a primary care perspective
• LTBI case discussion
• LTBI management and treatment: group case discussion

Objectives (partial list):

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Identify key populations at risk for TB infection based on current epidemiology.

• Explain the different LTBI testing and treatment options and how to apply current guidelines for improved LTBI management.

   

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This training is approved for up to 5.75 continuing education hours.

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 5.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center is approved as a provider of continuing education by the California State Board of Registered Nurses, Provider Number CEP 12308. This training is approved for up to 5.75 continuing education hours. Board requirements prevent us from offering CE credit to people who arrive more than 15 minutes after the start of the training, or leave the training early. Therefore, partial credit will not be awarded.

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center is designated as a Tuberculosis Center of Excellence for Training, Education, and Medical Consultation (TB COE) via a funded cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Curry International Tuberculosis Center prioritizes learners from the western region of the United States which consists of seventeen jurisdictions: Alaska, Arizona, California (including Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco), Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the U.S. Pacific Island Territories.
