Description: Taking side effects seriously - an interactive and evidence-based webinar series will highlight various TB treatment-associated adverse effects and provide management strategies to effectively reduce barriers to treatment completion and support both patients and clinicians. This first session will cover the risks, impacts, and management of TB treatment-associated nausea and vomiting. Data and expertise from other medical fields, including cancer chemotherapy and post-operative care, will be included to provide insights into how to improve care for patients with TB.
Target Audience: This training is intended for physicians, nurses, and other licensed medical and public health professionals who provide care to patients in treatment for LTBI and active TB.
Credit: This training is approved for up to 1.50 continuing education hours (see below). Certificates will be available within 8-10 weeks.

Objectives:
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Describe two changes in the TB treatment regimen that can decrease nausea and vomiting to improve patient experience and support treatment completion.
- Identify the preferred initial antiemetic drug and dose for prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting.
Training Format: Virtual training includes lectures and Q&A/discussion.
