Description: This webinar will review the DRAFT updates to California's Isolation Guidelines and use case studies to explore implementation successes and challenges. (Please note: the draft updates are still under review and have not yet been approved.) 

Target Audience: This webinar is intended for physicians, nurses, and public health professionals working in or with jurisdictions implementing California's Isolation Guidelines. Health professionals working outside of California are welcome. 

Objectives (partial list):

By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • describe the draft updates being made to California's Isolation Guidelines to support local implementation.
  • describe how to apply the draft updates to California's Isolation Guidelines to cases to support accurate assessment of patient infectiousness and appropriately tailor precautions in various community settings.

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This training is approved for up to 2.00 continuing education hours.

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 2.00 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center is approved as a provider of continuing education by the California State Board of Registered Nurses, Provider Number CEP 12308. This training is approved for up to 2.00 continuing education hours. Board requirements prevent us from offering CE credit to people who arrive more than 15 minutes after the start of the training, or leave the training early. Therefore, partial credit will not be awarded.
